Looking for an opportunity for your children to excavate a Roman Villa?
Hands on Heritage is an established charity offering schools and youth groups the opportunity to explore their heritage through workshops and demonstrations.
Our Roman villa excavation is a new experience for KS 2 and is linked to the N/C programmes of study.
Hands on Heritage has reconstructed and re-buried villa remains including walls, mosaics and hypocausts at its woodland site near Snape
Maximum numbers: 30 children. Cost:TBA per day

A visit will include
Excavation using archaeological techniques and equipment
Processing finds such as pottery, coins, brooches
Interpreting evidence and drawing conclusions
Building a story of what has happened on the site
